Perfect in all of Your ways

I’ve seen many searching for answers far and wide
But I know we’re all searching
For answers only you provide

I’ve heard a thousand stories of what they think you’re like
But I’ve heard the tender whispers of love in the dead of night
And you tell me that you’re pleased
And that I’m never alone

You’re a good good father

Do Sundays beat other days?

Do Sundays beat other days?  Are they more important than the other days?  Should we recognise and respect, train and deploy great church leaders, or equip every Christian to serve like Jesus in their home, church, work and life-place?  What do you think?

Natural or Supernatural?

Roy and Pat asked whether we want to see every Christian using all the natural reason, wisdom and skill that they can, or learn to operate in the supernatural gifts of the Spirit to minister to others in love and power as Jesus did?

Transcendent or intimate?

What do you think?

The Great News in a Nutshell

This Sunday we tried to put into words the great message, the Gospel we have to offer.

We decided upon:

  • There is a God who loves us.
  • We have all gone off-course; our way, not God’s.
  • We couldn’t save ourselves, so God took the initiative in Jesus’ death and resurrection.
  • We choose a better way, God’s way not ours, because we are forgiven.

Is there anything we’ve missed out?  Do you think there is anything here, even something that is true, that is not an essential part of the message?
