1 Kings 21: Naboth’s vineyard: Not for sale

The Bible Timeline continues.  In tomorrow’s Explore, 11.15am at the Parish Church, Naboth is murdered just so that King Ahab can have a vegetable garden conveniently close to his palace.  Ahab shows no respect for Naboth’s family inheritance.

This story assures us that God does see what is done and does care.  He sends his prophet Elijah to challenge the king and queen and to call them account for their actions.

Likewise, Christians are called to stand up for those who are treated unfairly and to insist that God’s ways are different.  In what ways does this apply to your own world?
